Ghostwire: Tokyo’s release date is confirmed in today’s presentation, which includes the dive in the title gameplay. Originally scheduled to release in the fall of 2021, Tango GameWorks announced the game was postponed last summer. At that time, the company only told us that he planned to launch Ghostwire: Tokyo in early 2022, but now we finally have a concrete launch date.
Ghostwire: Tokyo will be released for Playstation 5 and PC on March 25, 2022. The game will have some tight competitions not only in March – who will see the launch of games such as Gran Turismo 7 and triangular strategies from the beginning – but also on certain days. Ghostwire: Tokyo shares the March 25 release date with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the latest game in the Borderlands series of Gearbox, and Kirby and forgotten land in the Nintendo Switch.
Deep Dive Deep Dive Gameplay shows off several long combat segments where we see the character of players against other world invaders calling visitors. This battle involves a magical ability called Ethereal weaving, as well as more conventional weapons such as talisman and arc and arrows. Players can use Ethereal Weaving to launch attacks with air, water, and fire, block attacks from enemies, and cross the world. In the end, players need to explore Tokyo to clean the damaged Torii gate and save souls that are not tethered from those who disappear to save the city from this invasion.
Even though Microsoft has Bethesda and, with extensions, Tango GameWorks, Ghostwire: Tokyo remains an exclusive time console for Playstation 5. We see something similar happens with Deathloop Arkane last year, and quite sure, the Deep Dive gameplay tells us that Ghostwire: Tokyo will not be available on other consoles until “at least 3/25/23.”
Apparently, then, that Ghostwire: Tokyo will be an exclusive PS5 console for at least one year, so the owner of the Xbox (and maybe even switching the owner, given the involvement of Bethesda in the past with the platform) having to wait long enough before they hand them this one.
Bethesda and Sony also announced the initial access period for Ghostwire: Tokyo today. Those pre-order Ghostwire: Tokyo Deluxe Edition will play games a few days early, starting on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. According to YouTube descriptions about Livestream today, the Deluxe edition includes Shinobi, Kunai weapons, and Fashion Streetwear packages.
However, perk initial access is only available on PS5, so those whose pre-orders on the PC still have to wait until March 25 to play. We will have additional Ghostwire: Tokyo coverage in a few days and next week, so stay here for more.
